The Greater Cleveland Film Commission will host an exclusive workshop on Producing for Animation with Northeast Ohio native, and two-time Emmy-award nominee Diana Ritchey (American Dad!, Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, Scooby-Doo, and more) at the Cleveland Public Library Main Branch on Saturday, June 7th from 10 am – 12 pm.
This workshop will take you behind the scenes, outlining the producer’s role in animation and guiding participants through the unique responsibilities and challenges of managing animated productions.
Workshop topics will include:
– Insight into the producer’s role in development and managing animated projects
– Collaboration with artists, writers, & studios
– Assembling the production team and definition of roles
– Project timelines, from pre-production to final delivery
– The process from script to screen
– Bring to light artist & non-artist jobs required within the production
ABOUT DIANA RITCHEY
Diana Ritchey is an Emmy-nominated producer known for her work on animated series. An industry veteran, Diana has worked with Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, Hanna-Barbara, and 20th Television Animation. She is best known for her work on American Dad!, serving as Producer for nearly 400 episodes since 2004. Her credits include Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, and direct-to-video Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island and Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s Ghost.
Diana is a Northeast Ohio native and graduate of Bowling Green State University.
