The Literacy Cooperative was founded 19 years ago after a national study showed 69% of the adults in the city of Cleveland had literacy levels below the eighth grade. Over the past 19 years, the organization has implemented numerous initiatives and programs aimed at increasing access to books, improving kindergarten readiness, helping low-literate adults increase literacy levels, and more. Hear about the current state of literacy in our community and how the Literacy Cooperative is addressing the issues.
